Village Tourism Day Celebrated in Nepal

Nepal offers 1008 tourism products and activities that include Mt. Everest and Lumbini. It was mentioned by a an expert in Nepal during a program organized to celebrate the Village Tourism Day in Nepal. The violability of village tourism is seen a good potential and resource for development of Nepal. However, it is mentioned that the village tourism is possible only if the business and services are based on the rural products and employment and not through use of imported goods and manpower. Nepal Tourism Board is the leading governmental organization which coordinates and guides the stakeholders working in tourism sector. So far, there is very little resource is invested by government to promote the village tourism in Nepal with exception of a few efforts. In this connection, ideas and incentives are very important at local level with some kind of support from government.
