With prevalence of hepatitis A & B only early, but it has reached up to G. It’s a symptom of liver disorder reflected by yellow colouration of the skin due to over production of bilirubin (reddish pigment of iron metabolism) and breakdown of RBC. The cause for over production of bilirubin is due to obstruction of its passage because of drugs, alcohol, genetic disturbances. Hepatitis A is commonly caused in people of Nepal due to poor hygiene and sanitation.
Hepatitis B & C is prevalent among drug users. Hepatitis E is a viral infection which is waterborne. Jaundice is associated with underlying chronic liver disease. To sum up, the bottom line is that hygiene needs to be maintained to be free from Hepatitis and taking the triple dose of vaccine would not be difficult living in a subcontinent.
