Adventurers’ Attraction: Chitwan National Park of Nepal

Jungle walk through Chitwan National Park can be arranged by local resorts and lodges. Half or full day excursions allow you to explore several different habitat areas, from the flood-plain grasslands to the dense sal forests. The Park provides a rich habitat to a variety of wildlife matched by few other parks in the world. Due to its accessibility from Kathmandu and Pokhara, its physical nature and the presence of full service accommodations both inside and outside the park, it is the easiest place in Nepal to see wild birds and animals at close range.

It is a 1431 square kilometer park (including the Parsa Reserve extension) in south-central Nepal maintained for the protection of wildlife and natural resources. It was declared a protected preserve, or park in 1973. Its regulations allow visitors between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, with a park entry permit.
